Abstract:As Indian economy is reporting steady growth for more than 15 years, the Indian billionaires are also climbing up the Forbes billionaires rankings and new faces are getting added to the list of billionaires. In the Forbes list of world billionaires in 2016, 84 Indian billionaires could make it to the list. Whereas, USA has 540 billionaires. The combined fortune of India’s 100 richest stood unchanged at $345 billion to compare with previous year. The main reason behind this was the rupee rate has fallen down by 9% and the stock market corrected to 5% during FY2016.
