Abstract: Entrepreneurship and investments are the way to create jobs and contributing to economy. There are more than 6,000 listed companies in BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) and NSE (National Stock Exchange) as on 2018. I did a survey of promoters and their family wealth in listed companies. There are around 414 promoters having stake/market capitalization worth more than Rs 300 crore in listed companies as on 2017 (Data Source: BW BusinessWorld, February 03, 2018). In India, in general, the impression is that the rupee billionaires are in new economy industries such as IT, ITES and BPO sectors. However, the research findings were interesting. This article describes the Indian industries produced maximum number of rupee billionaires. These industries are the employment generations and wealth builders over a period of time. This article also provides sector wise share of wealth.
